Boring talk about skin dermatitis

If you like to wear jeans, then you certainly need to read this information. No, the conversation will not be about the latest models – the conversation will be about skin dermatitis. If you do not pay attention to it in time, it can develop into an allergic reaction throughout the body. Then it will be much more difficult to be treated. And from poor-quality or contaminated tissue, even fungal diseases can occur. Of course, a lot depends on the reaction of your body and the sensitivity of the skin. But it’s better not to experiment with endurance.

No it’s not boring …

Dermatitis is considered to be a consequence of allergies. They are very common and have a tendency to increase, since allergic ailments have taken a leading position among other skin diseases today. The cause of allergies is the adaptation of the body to everything new. Just look at how many new cosmetics, clothes, fabrics we have now. And it is not at all necessary that in all this there is a causative agent of an allergy. The reason may be an individual NOT perception of the body. Unfortunately, there are no statistics to say exactly how many percent of the population are susceptible to allergic diseases. But there is a certain pattern – the more economically developed a country is, the more allergic diseases its inhabitants have. The reason lies precisely in the very adaptation of the organism to everything new, which I have already mentioned.

In general, with the exception of gold, any metals – chromium, nickel, and especially various alloys – can provoke contact dermatitis. Signs of dermatitis depend on the individual properties of the skin. As a rule, this is redness, swelling, a local feeling of heat, tingling, and if an infection gets into it – a pustular rash. Itching is an atypical syndrome of contact allergic dermatitis, it is more prone to burning. This disease is primarily affected by people with an innate tendency to allergic reactions: if both parents suffered from dermatitis,
70% of children also develop it. The risk group includes those who have a loosened nervous system, decreased adrenal and endocrine gland functions. The key role in whether you get allergic dermatitis or not is played by the state of the immune system. Although it happens that a person with poor heredity lives for a long time and feels great, and vice versa. It all depends on the attitude towards yourself and your weaknesses. His relapses of dermatitis are due to exposure to an allergen. Therefore, we must try to avoid various kinds of irritants. If the fastener on your favorite jeans, skirt, bathing suit, vest is nickel, it is better for women with sensitive skin to refuse them. Unfortunately, despite the variety of new fabrics and their availability, there is still a certain shortage of cotton, silk, leather and natural dyes.
All this forces manufacturers of clothes and accessories to go to tricks, using all kinds of artificial materials. For people exposed to skin contact dermatitis, such clothing is not suitable! Thin delicate skin does not like dresses, suits, leatherette shoes, with metal fasteners, rough seams, tight corsets, bandages, narrow-nosed boots, tight-collar blouses, knee-high socks with elastic bands, elastic sweatshirts bursting under the arms, albeit very fashionable.

The synthetics on the body are bad form. Wearing it for a healthy person is fraught with bad consequences. There are cases of allergic dermatitis from belts on the belt and watch metal straps on the hands.

Do not try to cure the disease yourself by swallowing suprastin and trying all the ointments available in the pharmacy.
Ask your doctor first and identify your allergen. This is important, first of all, because repeated contact with it can expand the circle of your allergization, and then simple, it would seem, dermatitis will turn into more unpleasant eczema. Complications in the form of a secondary infection are also possible: ulcers, boils, up to abscesses, open wounds. At home, the first painful reaction can be removed with cold lotions from chamomile broth and the use of antihistamines, such as ketotifen and fencarol. Although these procedures are temporary, not fundamental.

And besides the indispensable consultation of a doctor, I would recommend people suffering from skin dermatitis to change their lifestyle. Because if the skin gives alarming signals, then something is wrong with the body.

Wrinkles – a fight!

It is very important for a woman of any age to get satisfaction from her reflection in the mirror. And since wrinkles are the main enemy of a wonderful appearance, you need to know how to deal with them. If you wish, you can always look seven to eight years younger than your age.

What are wrinkles?

Wrinkles are grooves and folds of skin that occur on the face, neck, arms and other parts of the body. Already at about 25 years old, the biological process of aging of the skin begins, it loses its elasticity, the ability to retain moisture, the first wrinkles appear.

There are several reasons why wrinkles occur:
skin aging;
excessive tension of the facial muscles of the face or its increased facial expressions (squinting eyes, wrinkling forehead, grimacing);
improper skin care (especially sun exposure).

The development of wrinkles occurs in several stages.

At the first stage, superficial, barely noticeable, interrupted grooves appear in the face between the eyes, between the mouth and nose, disappearing when the skin is pulled.

In the second stage, surface continuous grooves appear, which straighten when the skin is tensioned.

On the third – persistent deep wrinkles are formed – grooves on the forehead, neck and around the mouth, which do not disappear when the skin is pulled, to which folds of the skin on the face are attached at the fourth and final stage.

Wrinkle development mechanism

Our skin is designed so that the collagen and elastin fibers form a dense mesh. Fibers have the ability to absorb moisture and swell, so young skin is so elastic. Over the years, the synthesis of these important proteins and fiber renewal ceases, and the remaining fibers “age”, intramolecular bonds are broken, which causes the loss of moisture retention capacity and the skin becomes like a baked apple.

Free radicals and antioxidants

Free radicals – molecular particles, which are toxic by-products of the activity of any human cells, have a significant impact on the aging process. They have a free electron on the outer electron shell, which makes the particles extremely unstable; due to this, they very easily enter into chemical reactions.

Free radicals are opposed by a unique protective system created by the body – the system of antioxidants. Antioxidants are molecules that can block free radicals, giving them the necessary additional electron. The strongest natural antioxidants in the human body are: beta-carotene (provitamin A), ascorbic acid (vitamin C), tocopherol (vitamin E), some enzymes and amino acids, as well as B, K vitamins, minerals and trace elements: magnesium, selenium , copper, zinc, chrome. In addition, the defenders of our body from the action of free radicals are all the same vitamins, minerals and trace elements found in foods: avocados, sweet peppers, berries, melons, spinach, kale, pumpkin, pineapples, tomatoes, salmon fish (fresh grilled or boiled).

Anti-Wrinkle Methods

Modern non-surgical cosmetology is very rich in various methods for the correction of wrinkles.

Peelings

The most simple and popular are various types of peels. (From the English. Peeling, exfoliation, exfoliation). This is the name of the procedure for removing keratinized particles of the upper layer of the skin, which stimulates the growth of new cells, directly affects the structure of the skin and increase its elasticity. Peeling also prepares the skin for the perception of masks and creams.

Facial peeling is divided into mechanical, chemical and physical.

Mechanical peeling (mechanical exfoliation of the stratum corneum due to friction) is performed both manually and using special equipment. Superficial mechanical peeling is carried out using scrubs, gouges, etc.

Scrubs are cosmetics that contain solid particles. With their help, during the application and subsequent massage of the skin, dead cells are removed.

Homage is a cream paste containing fatty compositions, waxes and minerals, such as white clay. After applying homage to the skin of the face and massage, a soft crust forms, which when removed rolls off along with dead cells. These tools can be used at home.

Middle and deep peels are carried out in beauty salons or clinics.

Median mechanical peeling or microdermabrasion is carried out by applying fine aluminum particles to the face under pressure. The flow of aluminum microcrystals knocks out particles of the skin, stimulates its blood supply, the synthesis of collagen and elastin, and increases its elasticity. Microdermabrasion is used in combination with special cosmetics that accelerate the growth of epidermal cells. The procedure is repeated after 8-12 days, the course is 8-10 sessions.

Deep mechanical exfoliation or dermal deformity is a surgical procedure performed under local or general anesthesia. It is used to eliminate various skin defects in the form of scars, spots, fine wrinkles, etc. A special device with a milling cutter removes the surface layer of the skin with all the existing defects, after which the skin is updated. At first, the pink color of young skin remains, which gradually acquires the usual color.

After the manipulations, the use of alcohol lotions is contraindicated; sun exposure; Do not be near open flames.

Superficial and moderate treatment involves the use of protective cosmetics with sun protection factor and panthenol. Deep exposure, reaching the basal layer of the epidermis and papillary dermis, requires the application of a hemostatic ointment and a special dressing on the face for 6-8 weeks. After the procedure, swelling of the facial tissues occurs. It is eliminated using diuretics or physiotherapeutic procedures.

Contraindications to mechanical peeling are as follows: acute inflammatory skin diseases; herpes [3]; chronic skin diseases in the acute stage; tuberculosis; the presence of multiple dilated capillaries of the skin – telangiectasia; a tendency to form rough scars.

Chemical peeling is performed using chemicals: enzymes (substances that can destroy organic tissue and accelerate the course of biochemical reactions) from papaya juice or pineapple, fruit acids (glycolic, salicylic, retinoic, etc.). This procedure is suitable for oily skin and is carried out in beauty salons. There is a breakdown of the bonds between the cells, their burn with subsequent exfoliation, which stimulates the reproduction and growth of new cells. Depending on the strength of the substances, the effect may be superficial, or it may be deeper.

Immediately before the procedure, the skin is cleaned with a solution for degreasing. A solution of the substance is applied with an even layer, and after a few minutes – a solution-neutralizer.

After the procedure, the skin usually turns red, swelling is noted, but most often these phenomena pass on their own. A moisturizing cream is applied to the skin to eliminate the feeling of tightening the skin and preventing the loss of fluid. Crusts arising after peeling cannot be removed on their own – they must be lubricated with cream.

Complications: foci of hyperpigmentation – patches of skin of a darker color; exacerbation of skin infection may occur.

Physical peeling. This group of peelings includes ultrasonic and laser peelings. They are held in beauty salons and clinics.

Ultrasonic peeling is a hardware procedure for surface grinding of the skin. An ultrasonic wave when passing through the skin causes vibrations of the cells, as a result, the bonds between them are weakened, which leads to their exfoliation.

The big advantage of ultrasonic peeling is the ability to use it at any time of the year, as well as the fact that allergic reactions are completely excluded. This procedure is not traumatic, and there are practically no complications after it.

Contraindications are acute inflammatory skin diseases, herpes, malignant neoplasms, benign neoplasms with a tendency to progression.

The basis of laser peeling is the use of laser radiation, that is, a ray of light of a certain wavelength. When the energy of the laser beam is absorbed by the cell, the evaporation of intracellular water and cell death occurs, followed by its exfoliation. It is performed in the operating room under general anesthesia, followed by the patient staying in the hospital.

Massages

The next way to combat wrinkles is a manual massage of the face and neck. Massage movements stimulate the secretory function of the sebaceous and sweat glands, improve the flow of arterial blood, the outflow of venous blood and lymph, accelerate metabolic processes, saturate the skin with oxygen, which leads to an increase in its elasticity.

Manual massage regulates muscle tone: weakened muscles are activated, and tense muscles are relaxed. A positive result can be seen immediately after the first session. There are many techniques for manual massage, as a rule, they are multidirectional – depending on the existing problems of the skin of the face. Contraindications are pustular and fungal skin diseases, damage to the skin in the area of exposure. There are practically no complications after the massage, provided that contraindications are taken into account.

Injection Methods

To date, injection methods for cosmetic correction of wrinkles are the most effective. The most physiological methods include injections of botulinum toxin, preparations of hyaluronic acid, collagen, the introduction of drugs that fight wrinkles with the help of mesotherapy. I must say right away that mesotherapy is just a way of introducing drugs in small doses into the middle layer of the skin – the dermis, but at the same time a very effective way to eliminate wrinkles, since it is possible to deliver the active substance exactly to the target.

Mesotherapy is performed using disposable syringes with a thin small needle or special syringe guns. The main thing is to choose the right drugs for working with your face. And there are a great many of them: vitamins and minerals; organic acids (glycolic, pyruvic), restoring the structure of the skin; extracts of animal origin (collagen, elastin, etc.); extracts of medicinal plants (ginkgo, biloba, witch hazel, clover, artichoke), etc.

The advantages of the method include: the locality of the drug at the injection site; duration of saving results; lack of age restrictions; the ability to chip off any problem area with a medical cocktail; carrying out the procedure once a week. The disadvantages of the method: soreness; possible bruising after injection; the procedure is not recommended for menstruation or immediately after surgery. Complications: the development of allergic reactions to drugs; inflammation at the injection site.
Contraindications to the procedure: acute inflammatory skin diseases; herpes in the acute stage; exacerbation of chronic skin diseases; the presence of stones in the gallbladder (some medicinal substances can provoke the movement of stones and the occurrence of severe pain at the same time); diseases accompanied by coagulation disorders.

Botulinum toxin type A (BOTOX, DISPORT. Drugs are injected and block the transmission of nerve impulses to the muscles, as a result of which they are not reduced. This leads to a decrease in facial expressions and to the gradual smoothing of wrinkles.

The drug begins to act on average after 7-14 days. The effect of its action persists on average for 6 months, after which it is necessary to repeat the procedure. Each new injection course requires a smaller amount of the drug used, which, apparently, is associated with the disappearance of old nerve connections, and reflects the adaptation of facial muscles to new, changed conditions. Complications of the procedure: with excessive administration of the drug, the muscle relaxes excessively, as a result of which the angle of the mouth or eyelid may drop. The effect of the drug is reversible: restoration of appearance occurs after 1-2 months.

Hyaluronic acid preparations. Hyaluronic acid is normally part of healthy skin and provides for its sufficient saturation with water, as well as volume, density and elasticity. During aging, the content of hyaluronic acid in the skin is significantly reduced, which leads to wrinkles. The drug is injected into folds and wrinkles with pinpoint injections. The procedure takes about 30 minutes, and the effect is visible instantly. Anesthesia is usually not required, but at the request of the patient local anesthesia is performed. Within one to two days after the procedure, slight swelling or redness at the injection site may be visible. Introduced into the skin, hyaluronic acid gradually decomposes, and the released molecular bonds reattach water, which maintains the original volume. After 3-4 months, the material is completely destroyed and re-introduction is required. Hyaluronic acid can be used not only for the correction of wrinkles, but also for changing the shape and volume of the lips, correction of scars. This tool can be used in complex treatment in combination with botulinum toxin.

Collagen Therapy With the depletion of skin’s own collagen, wrinkles appear, so the introduction of collagen from the outside gives a good aesthetic effect. Purified bovine collagen is injected into the dermis with a syringe along the entire wrinkle or fold with several injections. If necessary, the procedure is repeated after two weeks.

Implantable collagen is rapidly destroyed, and after 3-4 months re-administration of the drug is required. The disadvantage of collagen therapy is the protein nature of the administered substance, which may lead to the development of allergic reactions. To avoid this, a sensitivity test is initially performed. 0.1 ml of the drug is injected into the skin of the forearm, and after 2-4 weeks, the results are evaluated by the doctor and the patient according to a specific test. If the test for sensitivity is negative, then collagen therapy can be performed. Contraindications: intolerance to beef, kidney disease – glomerulonephritis, exacerbation of herpes. Side effects: dizziness, nausea, joint pain, allergic rash, bruising arising from injections, crusts. Complications: scar formation.

Modern methods of fighting wrinkles are quite diverse, but although the skin responds to the care and care that you generously pour on it from the outside, it suffers much more from the harm done to it from the inside, especially if you do not sleep enough, smoke, drink a lot alcohol, eat wrong and do not take the necessary vitamins.

Skin structure

The skin consists of three layers: the
upper – the epidermis;
middle – dermis;
lower – subcutaneous fat.

Each of them, in turn, consists of several layers.

The epidermis has five layers. In its lowest layer, the germinal layer, cell reproduction constantly occurs. It also contains the pigment melanin, the amount of which depends on the color of the skin.

There is a prickly layer above the germinal layer. Between the processes of the cells that make up this layer, gaps form; lymph flows in them – a fluid that carries nutrients to cells and takes away waste products from them.

Above the prickly is a granular layer consisting of one or more rows of irregularly shaped cells

A brilliant layer consisting of 3-4 rows of cells is distinguished above the granular one. It is well developed on the palms and soles, but it is almost absent on the red border of the lips.

The stratum corneum is the most superficial. It is dense, elastic, protects the skin from injuries, burns, cold, moisture, exposure to chemicals. Cells of this layer are easily peeled off and quickly updated.

Dermis consists of two layers – papillary and reticular. It contains collagen and elastic fibers that make up the skin frame. In the papillary layer, the fibers are softer and finer than in the reticular, in which they form denser bundles.

Subcutaneous fat. It stores fat reserves that are consumed in adverse situations. Subcutaneous tissue protects the body from bruises and hypothermia.

In the dermis and subcutaneous tissue are the blood and lymph vessels, nerve endings, hair follicles, sweat and sebaceous glands, muscles.

What are the wrinkles?

By origin, static, dynamic, gravitational and combined wrinkles are distinguished.

Static wrinkles are formed due to damage to skin fibers by harmful factors and due to age-related changes in which blood supply and skin nutrition are impaired, a large number of dead cells accumulate on the surface, the stratum corneum becomes more dense, thickened, and as a result, wrinkles appear.

Dynamic (facial) wrinkles occur as a result of constantly repeated contractions of the facial muscles of the face when talking, laughing, the habit of wrinkling your nose or frowning, etc. In this case, the skin stretches, contracts, and gradually loses its ability to return to its original state. They can appear at a young age with excessive mobility and weakness of the facial muscles.

Gravity (or age-related) wrinkles begin to appear from 40–45 years old. They are the result of natural biological processes of aging not only of the skin, but of the whole organism, of intensive hormonal changes – the level of female sex hormones estrogen is sharply reduced, because of which the elastin fibers thicken, “stiffen” and the collagen fibers become flat, thinning the skin even more . Dehydration processes are intensified, including in bone tissue, which leads to a decrease in its volume and, as a result, drooping of the facial muscles. In addition, the muscles themselves decrease in volume, become flabby, shorten, which leads to sagging, a change in the features and oval of the face.

Combined wrinkles are formed as a result of a combination of several mechanisms described above.

Feet care

Foot care is an integral part of taking care of your appearance and health. I wish that the skin was smooth, the veins did not expand, the corns did not appear, there were no cracks and layers of dry skin on the feet, so that the bad smell would not torment. The conversation will not concern the shape of the legs, given by God, and vegetation (its presence or absence is a matter of taste).

Most ladies really care about how their face, chest and even arms look, and their legs seem to be crooked and okay, but this is a big mistake. To look 100%, you need to pay special attention to your limbs. Otherwise, very soon you run the risk of getting varicose veins, armor as a hippo on your heels and a constant feeling of tiredness when it is not clear how your legs wear them. If such a prospect does not appeal to you, it’s time to enlighten how to care for them.

Varicose veins protection

To prevent the veins from expanding, the leg muscles must be in good shape. One way to strengthen them is by walking, at least 30 minutes daily. During this procedure, metabolism, blood supply improves, muscle activity is activated. However, you need to walk in comfortable, better sports shoes. And heels at all are not suitable for this purpose. Walking on them leads to muscle strain and stagnation of blood in the veins. Some people have a hereditary predisposition to varicose veins. Especially for them: “The best treatment is prevention.”

It is helpful to regularly perform capillary exercises. Moreover, they are easy to do and do not take much time.

Waking up in the morning, stretch in bed. Then, lying on your back, arms under your head, stretch your legs and quickly turn your feet left or right for 1-2 minutes.
Then, lying on your back, raise your arms and legs up, and shake them in the air for 1-2 minutes. This exercise reveals the smallest blood vessels. Safe feet are always warm and pink.

Let’s help tired legs

Very tired and swollen legs can be wiped with a piece of ice, especially if it is made from infusion of sage leaves, chamomile flowers, arnica, cornflowers or yarrow. You can also make baths with juniper berries, sea salt (100 g per 1 liter of water), dry mustard (1 tablespoon per 1 liter of water). Baths for these recipes perfectly relieve fatigue.

Massage your feet

Taking care of the feet, we can improve the overall health of the body. On the feet there are many points associated with various organs of our body. Foot massage is best performed in the following order. First, carefully rub the feet with both hands, moving from the fingers to the ankles. Then massage the pads and skin around the toes. Move in a circular motion to the heel and return to the pads again. With your fingertips, rub all soles, climb up to the ankles and massage your legs around the bones. Finish with a massage of each toe separately, while gently pressing on its base.

And the smell …

White – the pelvic region and abdominal cavity Very many complain of sweating in the legs, which is often accompanied by the occurrence of scuffs. In addition to causing hygienic inconvenience, this scourge reduces the body’s defenses. To get rid of sweating in the legs, it is recommended to make baths from oak bark every day for a while. 200 g oak bark. To do this, fill it with a liter of water and boil for 20 minutes.
Strain the broth and add to the cool water at the rate of 1 tablespoon per liter of water. Having made a bath, you need to thoroughly wash your feet in hot water with a washcloth with a simple soap. Water temperature should not exceed 38-39 Duration of the bath – 10 minutes. Similarly, you can use sage leaves, horsetail, rose hips, pomegranate peel. Feet and interdigital spaces should be wiped dry and lubricated with a hand dipped in grape vinegar. While treating your feet, sanitize your shoes daily by wiping with vodka first and then with vinegar. When sweating disappears, this will no longer be necessary.

And remember that in synthetics shoes, the feet sweat harder.

Healthy skin

To get rid of thickening on the feet, make baths with baking soda (1 tablespoon per 1 liter of water) and wash your feet with a brush. Rub them with a pumice stone once a week or brush off dead skin layers with a special grater.

With age, the skin on the feet becomes drier and drier, in order to protect it from cracking, it is necessary to lubricate the legs with castor oil daily, and even twice a day, and then put on cotton socks on them. Instead of castor oil, you can use various vegetable oils, special creams for the feet. Cream or oil should be rubbed with massage movements, starting with the fingers, as if putting on socks. Then knead well and grind the whole foot.

Lovers of “kidding” can prepare a miracle cure on their own. Take 50 g of ghee, 3-4 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 3 teaspoons of castor oil, 1 teaspoon of a 3 percent solution of boric acid, 2 yolks, 30 g of camphor alcohol. Place all ingredients in a jar and melt in a water bath. In the finished mixture, add 1 tablespoon of chamomile broth.
For a decoction, 1 tablespoon of dry grass, pour 100 g of hot but not boiling water, leave for 2 hours and strain. The cream can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 weeks.

If cracks have already formed or the feet are peeling, then try to be treated with baths of Veronica grass: two stems (or 2 tablespoons) for 1 liter of water are boiled for five minutes and feet soar for 10-15 minutes. The course of treatment depends on the severity of the disease – from 3 to 15 baths. Soar feet before bedtime. Wipe thoroughly, as fungal diseases easily appear on wet skin. Clean woolen socks are worn at night.

Cracks under the fingers quickly heal from smearing with Viton or propolis ointment.

By the way, lubricating the feet with various vegetable oils, such as peach and natural fruit and berry juices is very useful for the skin of the feet.

Often, people suffer from corns of the skin of the feet, which interfere with free movement, cause pain, burning sensation. Most often, these keratinized skin areas are steamed and cleaned with a special grater, but after that they are formed again. If salty cold baths are used, keratinization gradually resolves and does not occur again. Such a bath is prepared from 1 tablespoon of rock salt per liter of water at room temperature. Both legs descend into the bath, even if only one leg is affected. Water relieves pain, burning, makes the skin soft. The duration of the bath is from 5 to 25 minutes. The number of baths depends on the rate of resorption, i.e. you need to do as many baths as needed for a full recovery. It is useful to make salt baths with cold water to relieve leg fatigue and to strengthen internal organs, especially the bronchi and heart. In this case, the legs should not be wiped,
and 10-15 minutes walk on the ground or hot stones (at home a close effect can be achieved by marching on the parquet floor). There is another option – get yourself a flat box that you fill with either rock salt or pebbles and perform the procedure during the morning toilet, shaving, etc.

For the treatment of dry mazol, you can use a mazol patch and hot baths to steam it and then remove it.

Note! Hot baths are contraindicated in the expansion of veins. You can’t steal legs and independently treat corns and cracks with diabetes. They need to consult a surgeon.

To treat cracks in the heels, fungal diseases of the skin of the fingers and toes, purulent wounds, alcohol tinctures are prepared (2 tbsp. Herbs per 100 ml of vodka) and tincture in vegetable (preferably corn) oil (4 tbsp. oil). Apply tinctures only externally.

Beautiful nails

We will not argue about the benefits or its absence from manicure. Each of these statements has its own worthy arguments. We assume that this is a matter of taste. However, if you paint your toenails, you should take into account that with ugly nails or fingers, it is better to choose a colorless varnish or a varnish of discreet tones. Bright colors you can afford only if your legs are carefully groomed, they do not have calluses, rough skin, and your fingers and nails are beautifully shaped. It is desirable that the color of the varnish for the pedicure is in harmony with the tones of the clothes and the color of the varnish on the hands.

And think about the beauty of nails …

In the book Women and Beauty, its author, actress Sophia Loren, devoted a whole chapter to her feet. There are such revelations: “I adore when the soles are rubbed and massaged. This is a kind of erogenous zone for me. When I read or sit in front of the TV, I roll the rolling pin with my feet. It relieves tension … “Does massage really have such miraculous power? Why does a woman need beautiful toenails? These and other questions are answered by the pedicure master Irina PYKINA.

– Unfortunately, many women pay great attention to the face and hands, leaving their legs without proper attention. Is it correct?

“Absolutely wrong.” Many diseases arise precisely as a result of a lack of proper foot care. Therefore, we must take special care of them. If you do not provide proper care, wrinkles, cracks appear on the skin, fungal diseases that can be difficult to treat can occur.

– What could you advise?

– The first is to choose the right soap. After all, you can simultaneously wash and enrich the skin with various nutrients. Now the choice is enormous, so do not be lazy, show interest – study and take the choice seriously. So that there are no cracks on the heels, you need to regularly use a pumice stone, which must be changed every three months. Simple at first glance, but very effective procedures will help.

Boil potatoes in a peel until softened. Knead and hold the heels in a warm mass for 20–25 minutes. Then grease the feet with a fat cream. You can apply medical bile at night, and remove dead skin particles in the morning with a pumice stone. This procedure needs to be done within a week.

To make the heels heal faster,
try this recipe: drive an egg into a container. Add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of vegetable oil and acetic acid. Shake well until the mixture thickens. Each time after washing the feet, rub the composition into the heels. Keep cooked mass in the refrigerator.

And if you have corns, then you need to rub vegetable oil after washing your legs at night. Better olive. After bathing, you can put bread crumbs dipped in vinegar on the corn. And when the corn dries up – clean it. But you can’t peel off the newly formed corns. There is a risk of infection.

– Is a permanent foot massage really necessary?

– The beneficial effects of massage on any part of the body are known to all. Moreover, it affects the legs. It supports the flexibility of the joints, helps to make the skin soft and supple, improves blood circulation in the skin layers,
enriches with oxygen and nutrients …

Doctors in the East recommend massaging the feet immediately upon awakening. It is useful to make such a device. Take an ordinary box. Fill it with small pebbles and walk in the morning (stepping from one foot to another), i.e. do a kind of gymnastics soles.

– No less important, probably, regularly take care of your nails?

– Nails can tell strangers very much. For example, psychologists argue that the shape of a woman’s nails can be used to judge her character, and her hands and feet as a whole and her attitude to herself and others.

In order for the toenails to be in order, you must always do a pedicure. It is desirable for the same master.

If the nails exfoliate for a long time and constantly,
then only a doctor can prescribe an adequate treatment. This is an internal disease that can be eliminated with medication. Sometimes stratification of nails provokes … varnish. In this case, you need to abandon it for a while. Nails need breathing. During this period, special nourishing creams-mixtures can be applied to the nails, for example: 1 hour. combine a tablespoon of any cream with 1 teaspoon of red ground pepper, add 10 drops of water. Keep such a composition for 10-15 minutes. It is good to lubricate the nail plate with lemon, make baths consisting of heated vegetable oil, lemon juice and a drop of iodine. They help restore the nail plate of the camomile bath. But you must remember that all these tips are very individual.

Beautiful feet formula

We look with envy at the owners of beautiful legs, long and slender, with thin graceful ankles and gorgeous rounded knees. And at the same time it is not clear why we treat our legs with complete neglect, not noticing the flaws that are easy to fix.

It would seem so easy to take care of your feet daily! It is only necessary after washing to thoroughly dry the skin of the legs with a towel, especially between the fingers, and lubricate with a special foot cream or regular nourishing cream. Once or twice a week after softening the foot bath with a pumice or special manicure grater, scrape off the accumulation of scales on the soles. This way coarsening and peeling of the skin of the feet can be avoided.

If the feet sweat, they can not be ignored. Increased sweating loosens the skin, making it easily accessible to various microbes and fungi. When decomposed, sweat causes diaper rash and an unpleasant odor. Therefore, even with slight sweating, having washed your feet with soap, treat the skin of the soles and interdigital spaces with a drying powder. This is good to do in the morning.

Those whose feet sweat constantly, it is recommended to make a hot bath at night (for 8-10 minutes), adding to the water a decoction of oak bark or potassium permanganate, diluted to bright pink. The latter not only dries, but also perfectly removes the most persistent odors, although, unfortunately, it stains nails a little.

If the legs sweat very much, only home remedies can not do. In these cases, a specialist examination is required to eliminate the causes of sweating disorders and the appointment of treatment: general and local. Homeopaths believe that excessive sweating is associated with slagging of the body. Treatment with homeopathic remedies relieves sweating and its consequence is the smell.

Do not miss the fungal diseases of the feet! If you find that the skin of the feet is peeling, between the fingers are moist lesions, on the soles of the vesicles, itching, nail plates are clouded or thickened, start treatment with a dermatologist in a timely manner.

Often calluses appear on the feet, which in advanced cases cause pain. Regular home care with hot soapy soda baths, removal of keratinized skin, and the use of a corn patch will help you solve this problem. However, it is worth noting that at young and middle ages, more often than not classic corns, but calloused warts, which require treatment by a doctor, are more common. Unfortunately, we notice warts on the soles and toes only when pain impulses appear when walking. Removal of warts is carried out by various methods (cryotherapy, electrocoagulation). In some cases, experts additionally recommend drugs for internal use.

Cracks in the soles of the feet may indicate problems with the thyroid gland. Therefore, if the heels are cracked, it is worth consulting with homeopathic doctors and homotoxicologists, and not just with a dermatologist.

One of the most common problems is leg hair removal. Smooth legs without hair seem slimmer. It is best to choose bio-epilation, one of the methods for temporary hair removal with wax and resins. It is not as effective as electrolysis, but it helps to quickly and efficiently get rid of leg hair for a sufficiently long period.

But back to the problems that bother you every day.

You came from work. Unpleasant tiredness in the legs, a feeling of heaviness, numbness of the legs, and even pain. Are you looking for salvation in slippers or just stay barefoot. And here you are in danger: the foot, having lost the support of the arch, compresses the vessels even more, leg fatigue is slow. Over time, foot problems progress: corns, calluses, “bones” appear, fingers begin to “run over” each other and acquire a hammer-like shape. It’s becoming increasingly difficult for you to pick up shoes; for some reason , all of them become uncomfortable.

Such problems arise not only with age. Unfortunately,
foot changes can occur in both children and adolescents – this is a consequence of the progression of flat feet. If you start treating it in time, the changes in the feet are easily eliminated. And if you do not pay attention to flat feet, then swelling may appear in the ankles, the knee will become thicker, then the flabbiness of the hips will appear – and successful progression of cellulite is ensured. Due to circulatory disorders, a web of small superficial capillaries begins to appear, veins swell, and varicose veins develop.

The overwhelming majority of patients whom I referred to the orthopedic surgeon either did not know that their problem was easily fixed, or had already contacted the orthopedic surgeon at the place of residence and, unfortunately, received very superficial recommendations, the main point of which was: “I don’t have anything special with you I see. ” The attitude of the doctors of regional clinics to the problems of the feet is similar to the attitude to the same problem on the skin of a dermatologist and a cosmetologist-dermatologist. At the appointment with a dermatologist, there are severe patients with serious skin diseases: eczema, psoriasis, etc., and it is difficult for him to switch to “small” complaints of age spots, acne, and unevenness on the skin. But for the patient – these are big problems, and they are perfectly solved by dermatocosmetologists.

Or another extreme: orthopedic surgeons who are complained of in advanced cases of flat feet, as a rule, immediately offer surgery. However, the surgical method is not suitable for everyone. In addition, without treatment of the cause and mild correction of the shape of the foot, after some time the problem will return again.

Orthopedic surgeons who work with cosmetologists will treat your problems with understanding. They will offer you a non-surgical correction of the foot, lower leg, and thigh, and they will recommend medical and home procedures to eliminate these defects.

Watching the medical process at the orthopedist’s appointment, I was pleasantly surprised that it was possible not only to stop the progression of the deformity of the foot, but also to return it to its original form. I shared this little “discovery” with my colleagues – dermatologists,
cosmetologists, therapists and pediatricians. Even the doctors did not know about the modern treatment options of the orthopedist. And our patients – even more so. And this is at a time when, without much effort, in a relatively short time (2-6 months), you can completely eliminate the not-so-far-gone foot changes (remove the “bones” of the thumbs, crossed fingers, restore the arch of the foot) or stop the far-reaching process relieving you of leg pain. By the way, leg pain, fatigue disappear immediately, already in the first week of treatment.

In order for each of us to be able to help ourselves and our loved ones on time without extending the treatment time, I will list the main signs of impaired foot function:
frequent tiredness in the legs or even pain,
corns, corns,
curvature of the toes, the
appearance of bones at the base of I and V toes,
even slight expansion of the foot,
swelling of the legs,
thickening in the ankle and (or) knee joint, the
appearance of friability, sagging of the hips, cellulite,
warts on the skin of the feet, the
appearance of a vascular pattern on the legs, varicose veins,
changes in the shape of the lower leg, and its thinning , curvature.

These problems need to be solved immediately, without starting up, because thanks to serious research, the method of non-surgical foot correction based on the latest achievements of domestic and foreign medical science has become available to doctors. And, perhaps, in the near future there will be a specialization of an orthopedic cosmetologist, and turning to him will become familiar and accessible to us.

According to the laws of reflexology, many important biologically active points are located on the skin of the foot and on the toes. That’s why the ancient physicians had the following opinion: if a man has an untidy big toe, and this is peeling around the nail, fissures, thick rough skin, redness – after 50 years he faces loneliness. And the truth is this: on the big toe of the right and left are biologically active points of the meridian of the liver and pancreas.
Changes on the skin in this area indicate a violation primarily of the biliary tract and pancreas and slagging of the liver. A so-called bile type of constitution is formed, which is accompanied by increased irritability, inanimity.

You see how much you can learn about a person by looking at only one finger. In the same way, on each finger, an experienced doctor can talk about other possible metabolic features and even offer an examination program.

But in some cases we can help ourselves. Pedicure exists not only for beautiful marigolds. If you clean the feet, toes of horny deposits, crusts with the help of bathtubs, pumice, pedicure, then from the released bioactive points the opposite positive effect on the corresponding organs is enhanced. You probably noticed how overall health improved after the pedicure procedure.

Paraffin therapy foot care is also a very effective procedure. Just one paraffin therapy procedure – and the skin soaked with vitamin cream and warmed with paraffin will become smooth, will get a healthy look, peeling and redness will disappear. Paraffin activates blood circulation, improves tissue respiration, the skin is released from toxic metabolic products, and fatigue and joint pain are relieved.

Some experienced massage therapists have a special therapeutic foot massage when each bone, all small muscles and interosseous joints are flexed. Due to this, the arch of the foot is leveled, the gait becomes confident and springy, and the foot is beautiful.

We all have many small flaws. But a woman needs to be able to take care of herself so that they will be inconspicuous for her well-groomed appearance and the abundance of virtues that are rich in each.

Foot care

Hyperkeratosis is a condition in which the outer (horny) layer of the skin thickens. This can happen for completely different reasons, but most often it manifests itself in winter and in cold periods. People with already dry skin of their feet are especially prone to this. The skin of the legs itself is quite dry (much drier than the skin of the face, hands), and with insufficient air exchange (warm clothes in winter, socks and other attributes), dry skin only increases.

On the surface of the feet, the skin is very thick, and when it becomes very dry, aesthetic inconveniences begin to appear. More often they are peeling, hardness of the skin of the feet. Dead cells on the foot do not have time to peel off and formations are formed.
To prevent or correct such conditions, you must have in your everyday life, and if necessary use, special creams called keratolytics. Their composition is diverse, but there are common components, such as: salicylic acid, lactic acid, urea. These substances are widely used in dermatological practice. Most often they are combined with various moisturizers, or substances with a high content of bound moisture. These creams are used to eliminate dead cells from the surface of the skin. Caring for dry sensitive skin may also include the use of special baths for feet and scrubs.
Fungal diseases can also cause some dryness of the skin of the legs, therefore, at the first suspicion, we strongly recommend that you consult a dermatologist.

Spotted nails

Stains on nails are not only a cosmetic defect, but also a signal of health troubles. How to decrypt this warning?

Problematic nails always speak of health troubles or neglect of him. Proof of this are leukonychia – spots on the nails. Most often, they appear in those who are on rigid and unbalanced diets.

Lack of vitamins and minerals can cause white spots or stripes to appear on the nail plates. They can have a different shape, orientation and size.

A role is played by a lack of zinc, a deficiency of calcium and iron. And about vitamins – especially A, E and C – and nothing to say. Their lack instantly affects the condition of the nails.

A lack of protein also causes changes in the nails. Paired transversely strips appear on them. These changes most often occur in chronic renal diseases that provoke excessive excretion of proteins from the body.

These diseases can lead to chronic renal failure, which also leaves its individual “brand” on the nails. It is called “half to half.” The changes are that the lower half of the nail becomes white, and the upper remains smooth and pink. Such a picture should make a person turn to a kidney specialist.

Sometimes the so-called Bo lines appear on the nails. These are the strangest changes. They can occur due to many reasons. But most often these lines are a sign of an unprofessionally done manicure. If a woman independently processes the cuticle,
presses the tool too much or pushes the skin too much, then the nail is injured. Transverse stripes appear on it, which are most densely located in the area of the hole. Nothing can be done here, you just have to wait until the nail grows. And, of course, you need to carefully do yourself a manicure, and even better – trust the experienced hands of a professional.

But in fairness it must be said that Bo lines are not always the result of injury. They can also appear due to health problems. For example, severe fever can cause a stop in the growth of nails. Then, after some time, quite deep grooves will appear at their base. This is a confirmation of the health problems that were, but have already passed. In this case, you only need to wait for the nail to grow back. No master can polish Bo lines to the end.
These grooves are very pronounced: their depth can reach 1 mm.

Sometimes black spots appear on the nails. It can be both hemorrhage and increased pigmentation. Let’s start with the first – with hemorrhages. Most often, they are the result of bumps or bruises. But sometimes the reasons are not so obvious. For example, subungual hemorrhages can be one of the symptoms of a liver pathology. They can also serve as a symptom of endocarditis – inflammation of the inner lining of the heart. Therefore, if there were no injuries, and a bruise on the nail is present, you need to see a doctor.

Now let’s move on to hyperpigmentation of the nail. It is called melanonychia and is a kind of mole. But if this mole appeared suddenly, increases in size, comes out on the skin of the periungual roller, the first thing you should contact an oncologist.
The fact is that such a picture may be a consequence of the tumor process, which requires surgery. The main thing here is not to lose time and get advice from a competent specialist.

In conclusion, I want to say that spots on the nails can be a consequence of skin diseases. For example, psoriasis can occur with so-called oil stains. They have a yellow-brown color and are located closer to the edge of the nail. And fungal diseases claim white spots. First, these traces are small in size, and then grow, occupying the entire nail. It becomes cloudy, dull, thickened and exfoliating. In this case, only serious antifungal therapy prescribed by a qualified dermatologist can help.

Well-groomed legs

With the onset of warm, fine days, women change their shoes in summer shoes – sandals, clogs, panties.
The director of the Moscow Image Studio Larisa SHARIN tells how to provide foot care.

– Larisa, what does foot care begin with?

– The first step in foot care is to wash them. Healthy feet should be washed with warm water and soap. First wash your feet. Then thoroughly washed between the fingers. To get to each area between the fingers, you can use a natural bristle brush. This is a kind of massage that improves blood circulation. After re-soaping the feet, it is useful to carefully rub the foot, especially the heel, with a pumice stone, a brush with stiff bristles, and a scrub to remove dead cells. After rinsing your feet, wipe them dry with a towel. It’s better not to wipe the delicate interdigital areas, but gently pat them dry with a dry towel. The rest of the feet can be wiped quite energetically. This is also a kind of massage. Proper drying of the legs is an important procedure. Otherwise, fungal diseases, such as epidermophytosis, can easily occur on warm, moist skin. At the end of the procedure, you need to rub foot cream, which will soften the skin. In diabetes, legs are washed in soapy water, adding any vegetable oil to it. After washing, they are not wiped, but soaked in a clean waffle or other towel that quickly absorbs moisture and smeared with a baby cream – domestic production or Baby Jonson.

– Are there special cleansing procedures?

– Flaxseed infusion well cleanses the skin of the feet (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of boiling water). It works effectively with daily use. You can do cleaning baths. For example, soda. Even more useful cleansing and tonic bath with soda and sea salt. Dissolve a handful of sea salt and 1 tablespoon of baking soda in 3 l of warm water (pour hot water to maintain temperature). The duration of the procedure is 15-20 minutes. And a very simple recipe: with a lemon peel, wipe the skin between the toes and soles.
The acidic environment is held in the skin for 5 hours, thereby maintaining its health.

– How to care for dry and roughened skin of the legs?

– Very dry skin of the feet should be greased with oily cream. It’s better to do it at night. It is useful, having lubricated the feet, fingers and interdigital folds with fat cream, to sleep in cotton socks so that the cream is well absorbed into the skin. Keratinized areas can be wiped with tomato puree. The skin of the squeezed lemon can be applied to the roughened skin and a compress is applied. Hot soapy-soda baths clean well the rough skin on the feet. Dissolve 1-2 teaspoons of baking soda in 1 liter of warm water, add 1 tablespoon of soap shavings or soap cream, whip the soap foam. Dip your feet in a basin, adding hot water. Allow time for the legs to steam out, and with the help of pumice in a circular motion, peel the coarsened skin. The duration of the bath is 15-20 minutes. After this, a cream is rubbed into wet skin.

– Sometimes cracks and abrasions appear on the heels. What to do in this case?

– If you have cracks in the heels, make a bath with starch. You can make a potato peel bath. Rinse them well and add a handful of flaxseed, pour water and boil until thick porridge. In this thick, hold your feet for about 20 minutes, then rinse them with water and carefully cut the skin around the cracks. Lubricate the cracks with iodine, feet and fingers with cream, rubbing it until it is absorbed. If abrasions and cracks form on the soles of the feet, you can wash the inflamed area with a solution of potassium permanganate or 2% solution of boric acid. After drying the skin, sprinkle it with oily powder, talc, zinc oxide or grease with a cream, it is better for children.

For scuffs and cracks in the soles of the feet, baths are recommended: prepare a tincture of St. John’s wort herb (2 tablespoons) mixed with marigold inflorescences (1 tablespoon) per 1 liter of water.
You can make a bath without St. John’s wort, only with calendula flowers. Keep your feet in the bath for 15-20 minutes. It can also be used for sweating feet.

Nettle and plantain infusions are prepared from the calculation: 2 tablespoons of crushed plant leaves per 1 liter of water. The duration of the bath is 10-15 minutes. A decoction of chamomile for a bath is prepared from 1 tablespoon of dry chamomile, which is filled with 0.5-1 l of boiling water and boiled for 10 minutes. A strained and slightly cooled broth is used.

After baths, it is recommended to make a bandage on the legs, lubricating them with emollient cream or fat, making a light massage. At least once a month and a half, do a pedicure, which includes not only the care of the toes, feet, cleaning and polishing of nails, but also the removal of corns, skin growths on the foot and around the fingers.

Head fungus is the “popular” name for a number of diseases of the scalp caused by microorganisms. The cause of such diseases is in most cases insufficient hygiene and contact with carriers of the causative agents of the disease. Treatment can be quite lengthy.

Classification and features

Four main groups of fungal diseases that affect the scalp can be distinguished:

  • Superficial trichophoria. The main source of infection is contact with an infected person. Characteristic signs: significant fragility of the hair, redness and peeling of the skin, hair loss. Small dark spots appear on the spot of the fallen hair.
  • Deep trichophoria. The main source of infection is animals that carry pathogens. Characteristic signs: hair falls out, and after a while, large red tubercles appear in their place.
  • Favus Chronic fungal disease of the scalp. Often the fungus is found in those people who constantly wear a wig or a tight hat. Characteristic features: the appearance of yellow spots on the skin, brittleness and hair loss.
  • Microsporia. Infection occurs through contact with cats, dogs and other pets. Characteristic signs: redness of the scalp, the appearance of red pimples on it. After some time, two foci of infection are formed, which are pronounced. In them, hair quickly breaks and falls out.

The fungus on the head can manifest itself with the following symptoms:

  • The scalp is peeling. Often there are separate foci of peeling of a rounded shape.
  • Hair ceases to shine, becomes dry and brittle, falls out. Small black dots remain at the place of occurrence.
  • With ringworm, it may deprive purulent foci on the head, which in severe cases have to be treated with antibiotics.
  • Skin plaques appear on the head, which are noticeably protruding above its surface.

As a rule, the fungus of the head proceeds in a latent form for a rather long time, so it is difficult to diagnose it and start treatment. Vivid symptoms appear after a while, when the disease is already progressing. An alarming sign can even be the usual dandruff, which does not disappear for a long time or manifests itself in those people who did not have it before.

Treatment

The fight against fungal diseases of the scalp should take place only under the supervision of a doctor. Self-treatment can bring negative consequences, since the specific treatment regimen depends on the nature and course of the disease. Treatment of head fungus with traditional methods includes the use of the following drugs:

  • Antifungal gels, ointments, therapeutic shampoos.
  • Exfoliating, softening agents.
  • Antifungal antibiotics. They are prescribed in severe cases when external treatment does not bring the desired result.
  • Vitamin preparations for strengthening hair and skin.
  • Iodine preparations, antiseptics for superficial use. They lubricate the skin with purulent diseases.
  • Immunomodulating drugs. Fungal diseases often develop amid weakening of the body’s defenses, which requires strengthening immunity. For the same purpose, a special diet is prescribed, which allows you to effectively treat even complex skin diseases.
  • Throughout the treatment, you should adhere to special rules of hygiene of the scalp and follow all the requirements of a doctor.

Folk methods:

  • Lubricate affected areas with fresh onion juice.
  • Effectively and treatment with lemon juice (can be diluted in water), tomato juice.
  • Mix evenly burned copper sulfate, yellow sulfur and tar (can be replaced with goose fat). Boil, cool and lubricate the affected areas.
  • Onion garlic bulbs are crushed into a homogeneous gruel and apply to the skin.
  • Ripar raisins so that it is soft. Cut raisins in half and rub their skin.
  • Mix the softened pork fat and sifted wood ash evenly. Rub the ointment into the skin in the morning and evening.
  • Mix 100 ml of alcohol (for lack of alcohol it is permissible to treat the fungus with good vodka) and 10 flowers of lilac. Insist 10 days, lubricate the skin with tincture.

It should be noted that alternative treatment can be effective in the initial stages of the development of fungal infection. If the fungus progresses in the future, you can not do without special medications.
